March 16th, 2018 #coffeetalk
Top of the morning to all of you hard working, fine looking rockstars out there. I have my cuppa joe on this second day of March Madness. Dark roast with FF French vanilla is on the menu.
Yesterday I was reading some comments and some celebrations on a throwback Thursday photo someone had posted. The person prefaced the post with something to the effect of, she didn’t want to sound arrogant or conceited but she needed and wanted to share her progression. Now, the post was met with some great “attagirls” and awesome jobs but it really got me thinking.
I have felt this way sometimes as well, if I post another photo of a before and after and be proud of my accomplishment so far and use it as a motivator of how far I’ve come, will it be looked at as another “oh god here’s Shane again with his progression photo”? Human nature kicks in and makes us doubt ourselves sometimes.
I say … kick those thoughts to the curb. You should be proud of your accomplishments whether you are at day one or 2532 … you are working hard every day battling through temptation and strife and drama and food pushers and all kinds of obstacles pushing against your success. So be proud. Don’t worry about what others will think or say.
At the end of the day the only person that matters of how they feel about your before and after and the body you are living in is YOU so … flaunt it, rock it and be proud of your accomplishments because we already beat ourselves up enough in other ways, why not change the narrative with this one.
Have a great day everybody.
Much Love, Shano
