How do you respond to stress? Take note because it may help you later.

Good morning to all of you fine looking, hard working, motivated and dedicated individuals. I am chillaxing here with a tall and steaming cuppa dark roast and am getting my mind right and right for the day.

Yesterday as I was having a conversation with a co-worker, they received a call about their kid being sick and now they had to come pick them up. Well we were about an hour away so they had to call their husband to map something out and be there for their little one.

Then I saw that she went into stress mode and jumped into stress eating and really reacting to the situation in a way that she normally doesn’t which surprised me because she always seems to have it “together”.

9FB8C21E-7018-44AC-BB59-C40994DC7C88I then got to thinking of how I respond to emotional situations and life occurrences that I cannot control. Started to take inventory and made a plan to be sure to look at my habits when life throws me a monkey wrench at my face.

I think this is a great exercise for all of us to do, how do you respond to stress? How do you respond to drama? What are your behaviors when you feel out of control? Then we should write them down so we can reference them later.

Being prepared mentally for stressful situations before they happen can SOMETIMES alleviate the situation and help. I feel the more I am prepared the more I can focus on being well and healthy to be sure to help others as well during those times.
