October 10th, 2017 #coffeetalk
Good morning all of my friends and internet family out there working hard and kicking butt and taking names!! I am here with my cup of dark roast with a splash of sugar-free pumpkin creamer and it is pretty tasty I must admit.
How many of us have been here before? We start to feel successful, we lose weight, we see changes in our clothes, we receive verbal compliments and everything seems to be going good and then we start snacking .. we start slacking .. we feel like we have it under control so we start relaxing.
For those that haven’t been there, let it be a good look into the viewfinder to see what May lie ahead and for those that have been here, what is your plan? How will you approach it differently and not let those old habits and behaviors kick in and take over?
I was discussing with a fellow weight watcher the plan of what happens when things get stagnant and the newness wears off of the shiny weight loss trophy and we discussed not reinventing the wheel when it happens but rather getting back to basics and excelling at the fundamentals.
I know what to do and how to do it so that is not the issue but rather grabbing my why tighter and closer and focusing on behaviors of how to stay on track and not lose the momentum I have built.
The key is that I am going into it with eyes wide open now and not running blind and that is half the battle.
Not this time will I slide like I have done every single other time in my life … I need to follow-through.

This is a timely reminder as I was thinking this morning what I wanted (decrease waist size) and how I was going to do it. But that why is elusive. Is it just vanity or is it Health? It is probably a mix. Sharing my cup of coffee as I type.
