Top of the morning to all of you as I am getting ready to head out for more road time and hard work. I have my cuppa joe in hand and ready to go.

Let’s talk about working hard. I know that most people out there know what working hard looks like in one form or another. Most people also know that if you work hard at something, then you achieve results. It is a simple mathematical equation … a + b = c

So why do some feel that if they put in half the effort that that are still owed receiving great results? I hear it all the time that people are looking to receive instant gratification for small amounts of work. Maybe it is generational or the way society has molded people because hard work used to be a true sign of character and personality.

Now, hard work seems to be always lumped into manual labor or exercise and that is not always the case in health journeys. Hard work comes in the form of tracking everyday, battling through temptations, investing in others, having a plan in place and following through, and many other avenues of hard work. It also does mean exercise and movement of your body in some sort of way each day and that may be hard for some folks.

I always remember I cannot achieve exceptional results by halfassing my efforts, I have to put the work in get to where I want to be in ALL aspects of life.

Have a great and fulfilled day today.

  1. GREAT topic today!! I have thought this to myself as I hear complaints in my meeting about how “the plan isn’t working” and I always want to ask, are you working the plan and if so, how hard? Keep up the great discussion 🙂

  2. Yup! I’ve been playing games with the program the last few weeks. Eating and socializing a lot then trying to make up for it 2 days before weigh in. Not working! Got to do the math!
