In business, you need a lot of initial investments and patience, maybe we should treat our health journey the same way

Good morning all of you hard-working and dedicated people out there in the land of clicks and screen swipes.  I am sitting here again, about to head to the dentist for my semi-annual so hopefully that is good but I have my coffee in tow and the breakfast sandwich eaten.

Yesterday I was teaching a seminar on business to some business owners and some leaders of those businesses and we were discussing the importance of investing in their business and spending money and time to make money.  It was all business mumbo jumbo but was all about profitability and having the ability to reap the rewards of the investments that they make.

Why don’t we treat our health journeys the exact same way?  When we are looking to lose weight or gain muscle or whatever your fancy is, we are looking for the quickest and fastest way there with the least amount of investment all the time.  Or we are looking for a high investment but over a really short amount of time to reap the rewards.

This is all backwards.  This journey takes time.  This journey takes investments and is not a quick fix or magical elixir to get there.  This journey takes hard work and dedication but the end result is completely worth all of it.

So, today think of it as your business, treat it like your investments that you are making where they have to take hold, they have to mature, they have to go through the motions sometimes before they become fruitful.

It really helps me to think of it that way and I hope that it helps you the same.
